Exchange is a lot about children –
Protecting them from abuse
Encouraging them to be proud Americans,
Applauding their achievements!

America’s Youth is our most precious natural resource.   That’s why Exchange has sponsored an impressive selection of activities designed to encourage and recognize our nation’s youth.  It’s therefore not surprising that many of these richly rewarding programs – including the Youth of the Month/Year Program and the A.C.E. Award - are among the most popular of all Exchange Club endeavors.

This webpage describes these exciting programs, as well as provides the information, and forms you’ll need to lead a successful Youth Program within your Exchange Club.

(Young Man and Young Woman)

The Youth of the Month/Year Program gives your Exchange Club the opportunity to recognize high school seniors for their scholastic, extra-curricular, and community service achievements.  This recognition leads to positive publicity for area graduates and enhances your club’s the image in the community.

Gaining the cooperation of your area high schools starts by sharing with them the goals and criteria of the program that are detailed in the Youth of the Year nomination form.  As the school begins identifying candidates, it is then up to your club to select – again through the application process – Young Man/Woman of the Month recipients throughout the club year that then leads to selection of Young Man/Woman of the Year.

This selection process at the club level will qualify your Young Woman/Young Man of the Year to compete at the Florida District Youth of the Year This year’s District Young Man and Young Woman of the Year winners will receive a $1500 scholarship – and the opportunity to compete on the national level!

The program guidelines and criteria are spelled out in the Youth of the Year nomination form - just click on the Youth Entry Link below.

(Accepting the Challenge of Excellence)

Is there a high school student in your community who has successfully overcome personal, physical, or social adversity to become a successful student and asset to his or her community?

Wouldn’t your Exchange Club feel great pride in recognizing that student’s achievements and in supporting his or her hopes and plans?

You CAN recognize that student - and feel that pride through the Exchange Club’s A.C.E. Award.

A.C.E. stands for Accepting the Challenge of Excellence.

Your club can present the A.C.E. Award to one or more deserving students over the course of a school year.

Your club may also nominate one of your A.C.E.  Award winners to district competition to be held at the 2010 Florida District Convention.  The district A.C.E. Award recipient will receive a $1500 scholarship – and the opportunity to compete on the national level!

The program guidelines and criteria are detailed in the A.C.E. Award nomination form – just click on the A.C.E. link below.
